In my opinion, it was a good getaway for us as we stayed in the hotel for the night. The show was fantastic, with Lionel Richie being funny and his kids introducing him. The venue was not my favorite, with chairs set in a room and not auditorium-style seating. It was hard to see over people's heads even though our seats were good. The show started at 7 and with an opening act, we were out of there by 8:20, which I found way too short. I expected more for the money we paid to see him, though it was cool to see him in person. Alleghany Casino is truly in the middle of nowhere. Despite these things, I don't think I would go to Alleghany again.
